Made by B45: Jordan Lennerton and his single-bat season
Let us rewind to last September. The Quebec Capitales had just won their 7th Can-Am League title in front of their loud fans in the old ballpark in the heart of historic Quebec City, Canada. One of their leaders, long-time Canadian professional player Jordan Lennerton, decided to call it a career after 1232 games. Then, one interesting fact came to our attention: the multiple MiLB Gold Glove Award winner played his 2017 season using only one bat. Yes, 106 games at a professional level with just ONE BAT!
"During my career, I have used almost every type of bat imaginable. I've used the biggest names in baseball bats and what they claim to be the "best wood."
It wasn't until I played in Quebec that I found the most durable, solid wood. I used the same B45 bat through all of the 106 games I played in 2017, and I'm not going to lie and say that I hit everything on the barrel.
The B45 Yellow Birch held up to all the jam jobs and cappers that I could throw at it, and by the end of the year I still felt confident swinging the same bat.
Whether you are playing in your very first wood bat tournament, or suiting up for a major league game, I recommend B45 Yellow Birch!"
Jordan Lennerton is now coaching in his home province, with the University of the Fraser Valley Cascades.
